ZEIT ONLINE - Nachrichten 2.5.1

The ZEIT ONLINE App for Android (version 6.0 and above) provides users with the award-winning journalism of ZEIT ONLINE and ZEIT in a user-friendly app.

The new version allows users to quickly access the latest news and headlines on their phones and tablets. The app offers editorial recommendations for reading, podcasts with a new audio player, and a range of engaging features such as reports, analysis, and data visualizations - all available in Dark Mode.

Overview of the app sections:

● Start:
The start page features news, analysis, and the latest articles from various sections including politics, economy, health, science, ZEITmagazin, and ZEIT Campus.

● My Subscription:
In this section, users can find all the content from their digital subscription, including Z+-articles, recipes from the weekly market, games like Sudoku and "Um die Ecke gedacht," and the e-paper version of the current issue of ZEIT.

● Headlines:
Scroll through our offerings in chronological order or view the most commented on or most read content.

● Audio:
The audio section features all ZEIT and ZEIT ONLINE podcasts, including popular shows like the news podcast "Was Jetzt?" and "ZEIT Verbrechen." Additionally, users have the option to listen to narrated articles from the current issue of ZEIT.

● Games:
Engage with entertaining word puzzles like "Wortiger," "Buchstabiene," or classic games like Sudoku, crossword puzzles, or quizzes.

● Menus:
In the content menu (located at the top left within the Start tab), users can access sections and important overview pages such as the newsletter overview or the ZEIT archive. The user menu (located at the top right within the Start tab) provides additional useful app functions like Dark Mode, font size adjustment, push notifications, and personal bookmarks.

● ZEIT ONLINE on Your Homescreen:
Stay updated with the latest articles even when the app is closed by adding our widget to your homescreen. The widget displays two or four current headlines.
